In the beginning of 20th century, there was no. as much as villages like present time in Amsoi area. There was few villages in Amsoi area what one can count in finger. The area was covered with vast forest. It was dangerous for a single man to travel though this forest road due to danger of wild animals. A traveler can face tiger,bear etc. wild animals in any time. The villagers of Amsoi area enters their house in evening for wild animals, after darkness come down to villages of Amsoi are Tigers starts their roaring. Though situation was very very fierce and dangerous a group of young people of Amsoi tried to enjoy modern drama. To enjoy drama this young people tried to go Chaparmukh 15km distance from Amsoi travelling by foot. Also returned this way after enjoyment of drama early in the morning. At that time the Bangali Drama team visited Chaparmukh to saw the drama. Those drama party made to this young people of Amsoi, so they decided to stage drama in Amsoi by themselves. They engaged self in search of a drama director . At that time this type of drama director was called "Ustad". After searching they got an "Ustad' at Meteka near Raha . Who was known a Mr. Golok Deka. Ustad Golok Deka was a degree holder in music from Lakhnow of UP province of India. Mr Golok Deka agreed to take offer this young people of Amsoi and came Sahari to teach the drama, music, dances etc. Mr. Golok Deka was a lamb man, so he soon was known to the people of Amsoi as a "Lengera Ustad". Oneday "Lengera Ustad" visited forest in search of fire wood near the weekly market of Amsoi of present time. He was accompanied few young people of Sahari village. Suddenly he listen that a deer was roaring in the jungle . He thought that what happen to the deer. So, he lonely tried to follow the roaring of the deer. He enter the deep in the jungle ahead he saw the beautiful waterfall for the first time. Which waterfall presently known as "Siva Kunda". Mr Golok Deka came back and explain the details of the waterfalls to Mr. Sridhar Dewraja the king of Sahari at that time. After listening all from "Ustad" Mr. Golok Deka , kind Sridhar Dewraja saw his eagerness regarding the waterfall. This ancient occurred between 1920 to 1925 (Mr. Golok Deka and king Sridhar Dewraja is not now alive .So we have not got the accurred date and time) Sahari king Sridhar Dewraja connected Mazumdar of "Duar Amla" of Karbi Anglong district. He explain the details of the waterfalls and with co-operation of "Duar Amla" Mazumdar Mr. Biren Teron made a way to the waterfalls .They clean the area of the waterfall. After this activity Ustad Mr. Golok Deka saw a dream that God Siva is in the waterfall area. So, he gave the name of "SIVA KUNDA" in Amsoi area. Mr. Golok Deka cut down the three small statue in the big rock of Siva Kunda. Lord Siva , Lodes Jagadhartri and Lord Ganesh. In 1972 Mr. Nabin Tamuli of north Guwahati cut a big statue of Lord Siva northern side of the same big rock. Mr. Keshab Tamuldar of north Guwahati and Mr. Kamleswar Hetari of Amsoi co-operated with Nabin Tamuli in this activities. Though the waterfalls known as "SIVA KUNDA". Few old age people want to say that the name was given accordingly to the name of Mr. Siva Nayak , a villager of Chalchali bosti of Amsoi area (many want to say him Siva Tanti) who first arrange to worship Lord Siva at "Siva Kunda" waterfall. Though this type of small conflict was taken place regarding "SIVA KUNDA". And the people of Amsoi area express their proudness for their waterfall. Now, Amsoi famous for Siva Kunda waterfall. The natural beauty of Siva Kunda is an another plus point of the waterfalls. Many picnic team from various places come to Amsoi for this Siva Kunda waterfalls. It begings from Novembar to April of the year. For the development of Siva Kunda waterfall now an organization namely known as "Siva Kunda Unnayan Samity(Siva Kunda Development Society) trying to develop the waterfalls and the location.
